Embracing Your Worth: The Power of Walking Away
After a certain point, you have to walk away. You know you’ve tried everything. It was never you. You were never the one to blame. Their disrespect is reason enough for you to leave. No other evidence necessary. So often we stay in abusive situations because either we are so used to it that we don’t realize that it’s happening or we think that we can change the other person.
You can’t. You have to save yourself (and get support when necessary!).
Your life isn’t meant to be a living hell.
You aren’t met to stay stuck somewhere you don’t belong — with people who mistreat you or don’t see your light.
You aren’t met to stay in the pain of the past, never reaching your full potential.
You are meant for greatness.
You are meant for more.
Don’t let someone continue to abuse you or shame you or manipulate you or belittle you.
Your pain is valid.
Your feelings are valid.
You were never meant to live a life of constant suffering and no relief. Remove yourself from anyone’s presence in which you feel belittled. No one has any right to hurt you. Not even once. It’s not you. It’s them. It’s their unresolved pain and trauma, projected onto you.
Choose yourself. Your art. Your creativity. Your health. Your vision. Set the boundary. Focus on your healing. Release the weight of people who could never love you properly. Let them lose you. You don’t need them.
You need you.
